I'll join your group. I don't remember a time I wasn't aware of God. My earliest memory is of being 18 months old and standing up in my crib looking up and saying: "Do I have to do this again?" and very clearly hearing the voice of God saying, "Yes, and don't be in such a hurry this time!"

Sounds like a fantastic idea to me, Lesley.

Isn't it amazing how every culture in the world throughout history has deep down believed
that there was this higher power? a Prime Mover as it were. It is like it is in our DNA to believe in the
spiritual power. Maybe there is a god gene coded in our biochemistry to help us through our
humanness.

If you're lonely, God is there. If there is trouble, God is there to protect us. If there is confusion, God
is there to guide us.

I believe the most important lessons we can lean in live is practicing the presence
of God.

Thanks Lesley, Do you believe it important that we share our beliefs to the world? Sometime people think that beliefs should be a private matter others believe that one should be very public. I believe there must be a middle ground with this issue.

At the Bible Study discussion group at the Florida Today website we are sharing experiences about NDE's and other light experiences.

Great question Ray! That could be a discussion in itself "Do you believe it is important that we share our beliefs with the world?" I definately go back and forth depending on the belief.

My belief that anything is possible....share with the world
My belief with vaccination of children.....middle ground and not public
My belief in God and universe...Shows up in my actions and both public and private, at times.

I find it difficult to find the words to describe my mental
concept of God.

Sometimes I feel closer to God when I am out in nature than I do at church. Perhaps my beliefs are becoming more pantheistic.
And that a great injustice has been done to Gaia (mother earth) when we focus all of our spiritual energies on above and not the holy grounds we walk upon . We used to have a saying in churchdom. "He is so heavenly bound he is no earthly good." Maybe as a society we will learn that is true with our common
history.

What is your belief towards the Divine and Gaia? No right or
wrong answer here of course. Did the Divine just create the Earth and tell us to take care of it? Or is the Earth part of the divine in your belief system?

I believe God is the energy that is in everything and everywhere. It is the quantum field that weaves everything together, so to separate the heavens from the earth to me seems impossible energetically. That is the meaning of the circle of God design as I was given it.......The circle represents the planet......the word God forms the circle which has no beginning and no end. We live within the circle surrounded by God's unconditional Love, always connected to each other and our environment. Together we form a unified force field, inseparable! The separation is the illusion we have created which keeps us from moving forward towards our godliness and unconditional love.

Do you adhere in your beliefs to a particular creation
story?

With Judeo/Christian beliefs, The book of Genesis tells us that we are created in the image of God. These beliefs also tells us that we can have a personal relationship with God.

Energy to define God is inadequate in my belief system. Obviously scientifically everything (all matter) can be transmuted into energy as in E=MCsq and that all
humans have a HEF (human energy field). But God, humans (and all matter) go beyond just energy. IMHO

Please note I am not disagreeing with you but rather
refining what I believe you are saying.

My belief is that we are all connected; every religion, every person, every animal, plant, energy far and near. Since I write about connections to animals (Animal Spirit Guidance, Horizons Magazine) I find those connections with every article.
I think that we are all here to protect and take care of all aspects. It's easiest to take care of Mother Earth, because we can walk and breathe and dig and feel the earth. It is tangible.
Spiritually, we have to make a conscious effort to connect. We have to stop, meditate, pray, visualize. Some people are lucky to have Great Spirit be very visible, every day. While the rest of us must learn how to make the connection.
I am not a church going person. My church is here at home, in my yard, at the beach, wherever I end up being at the time of inspiration. I pray daily, I talk to Mother Moon and she speaks back. I talk to Mother Earth and she responds in kind. I talk to my spirit guides and give thanks for their wisdom which comes to me in dreams and flashes. And yet I still struggle at times. It's just part the design, I guess.
And I do agree that the separation is the illusion of life. For me, that's where the dragonfly would come into play. Dragonfly is about breaking through the illusions that we set up. Getting caught up in our daily lives, running the kids to soccer and baseball and ballet, etc... We get stuck and then move into trying to make the connection again. Every time we connect we move forward toward breaking that illusion and when we get caught again (we do have responsibilities, afterall!), we begin again to re-connect. We are not starting over, just taking another step.
