I had signed up on okcupid.com at the suggestion of a friend-not long after my split w/ my husband. I wasn't ready - actually I am only just now starting to think about inviting someone else into my lift after six years-but the site itself is fun. They have quizes to help improve your match w/ people-some of the questions are inane at best, but if you approach it with humor and fun, it really can be! I've struck up some very interesting conversations with people about my pending move to CO-one person went so far to bike through through the community I am considering and wrote a nice tutorial on the area for me! How nice was that!!

‘Fear’ when dating…

If you keep telling yourself things about you and if G-d behold other people tell you similar things then it must be true right?
Wrong, but if you keep telling yourself the same negative input again and again you’ll eventually ‘become’ these thoughts and even transmit them unconsciously chasing any man away for miles!
Do you have doubts about yourself when it comes to dating? You are not alone and the good news is that what information you ‘put in’ you can also ‘take out’! A lot of it has to do with ‘repetition’ just as when you heard negative comments long and often enough you developed a limiting belief around it!
The good news is that as an adult you now have free will and can take such a belief, hold it in your hand, view it, turn it around, upside down and re-examine if the information still holds true today – gaining a new perspective! Some things sit as deep as childhood and a little hint here, what your daddy told you once in his anger at age 5 would most probably NOT apply today, right?

I am not into the "dating sites"; but have met many wonderful people through Meetup.com, where it is free to navigate and meet people, of like-mind, in dozens of social settings. It's up to you to get up and out and "meetup" with others at any setting you coose...pet owners, children, bowling, kayaking...you name it. Last night my karaoke group met in Delray; and we had a blast! You can also organize your own site.

I haven't been on here in a while, but I do want to comment on the questions about Plenty of Fish . . . . It is like everything else in life. You attract what you expect (or what you put out energetically). So, if you think the only people on the dating sites are unconscious, then that is what you will get. Or, if you are in a low space and.or are feeling negative or needy, then that too is what you'll get. And remember, every one you meet is for your learning. In other words, if we meet someone who we don't like, we can take the lesson and learn from it. Everyone is our mirror of what we need to take a look at within our selves. My suggestion would be to get yourself in a really good space energetically, and then watch who comes into your life - from all sources.
