Everyone has their own personal journey…I am no exception.
Mine was a journey of how stress and anxiety can rob you of everything that you love and hold dear. For me it was my family, my health and my spirituality. I could do nothing but watch as everything slowly slipped through my fingers. To say that I spent many sleepless nights as my body failed me was an understatement at best.
Looking back now, I know that I owned all of this, mostly because I simply didn’t know any better.
But I digress…
As a mother of two young children, traveling 24x7 for the better part of 22 years to meet the demands of a marketing executive in corporate America, my payout was exactly what one would expect – an extreme state of dis-ease.
Only back then, I had no idea exactly what that meant. I only had conventional medicine and all of their wisdom, pushing me to have major surgery and take a hiatus from life to recover from the after effects of their scalpel.
When I told them “no way” they told me not to come back. I said ok, walked out to my car and thought, “Now what am I supposed to do?”
At that point in my life, I had absolutely no earthly clue that alternative medicine was out there. And that I had choices beyond the realm of conventional medicine.
By the grace of the universe, alternative medicine started to find me. Sadly, it took two more years for me to find the right group of practitioners to help me back to a state of wellness.
I was overwhelmed. Confused. And even a little bit angry. How could this possibly be? If I, as an educated woman, had no idea that I had choices beyond the parameters of conventional medicine, how many other people out there had no idea? And thus, were being stripped of their right to make informed choices about their health.
It was then that my life’s purpose was clearly presented to me. My health challenges were a gift from the universe – a second chance - to take all that I was and all that I am and use it to bridge the gap between practitioners and the unknowing population that rests in the hands of pharmaceuticals and surgery. To do my part to set the educational process in motion through my particular marketing skill sets…helping to mainstream alternative medicine.
And so out of my illness, it became clear that what seemed like the darkest hour of my life was truly the beginning of a new journey. The journey of choice one might say. My choice, to empower others with the gift of marketing that had been entrusted to me over those 22 years. An endowment, whose purpose I now fully understood.
Believe me when I tell you that I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this capacity. Not a day goes by when I don’t feel like I have spent my whole life preparing for this very moment in time. And so it is that I humbly accept the universe’s request that I take what I have learned and use it to give people back their right to choice while empowering practitioners to educate their potential patients/clients and share their gift of healing.
Selfishly, for me, the circle is now complete. My life is filled with joy and abundance as I have never before known it to be. By empowering practitioners with marketing tools and knowledge, they are growing their businesses through education, people are learning that they have choices when it comes to their health and I am laying my head on the pillow at night feeling good about my purpose – something I had not been able to do for a very, very long time.

It's a honor to be your friend. I so enjoyed meeting you and Irene at the retreat. I am flying high today as my workshop was this weekend. It was the BEST one yet. Leslie, Regena and Kelly attended. Rosalie had a funeral at the last minute and I never heard from Chris. In addition to the retreat women there were 4 of the most magnificent men that I have ever met.
