Put your hands together when you pray...

Place your hands together when you pray. I know this may sound silly but I am just feeling a need to tell people this. When I had the worst flu bug I've ever had (about three years ago) and was coughing so deeply, and for so long that I literally thought I would die, I was given a "word" or "vision" by the Holy Spirit, Source, Divine Intelligence (whatever name you choose) about what to do. It was a turning point in my healing.

I was instructed to put my hands together. The reason? The left hand is where our energy leaves our body from, and the right hand is where energy enters our body. When we put our hands together, just as we were rightly shown to do in church, or sunday school, or by our parents - probably when we were little - it "completes the circuit"!

If you're into electronics you'll understand this.

I have desired to create an illustration or make a video of this ever since I was shown this in my spirit but I have not done so yet. In fact, at that time when I got better I spent weeks drawing my hands in that position so that I could do something artsy with it in order to demonstrate it to others but then I started projects, school and so forth and never determined the best way communicate it. Since procrastination is something I strive to overcome I am writing this now in the hope that it makes sense to someone and that it is helpful.

I am continuing to research that particular quote also Ray and was hoping maybe someone here on CLS who does "energy work" or HT (Healing Touch) might post to either confirm or share what their knowledge of this might be.

The other interesting thing I forgot to mention is that when we say (or just do) the Namaste at the beginning or ending or both of my yoga classes we put our hands together in that prayer fashion.

Also, we are noticing in some other videos on health that my husband and I have been watching that the speakers, doctors, healers, when they speak, place their hands together in this way during their presentations.

Interesting post, I never thought of that. "The left hand is where our energy leaves our body from, and the right hand is where energy enters our body."

Another take is that praying hands form an arrow pointing to heaven where God
answers our prayers.
